About The Crafty Wabbit

The Crafty Wabbit began in 2008 as an outlet for one woman's lifelong creative urge. Wabbit (aka Erin) is a stay-at-home-mom who loves to spend free time in her art room, working up new crafts, with hopes to share them with family, friends, and anyone else who enjoys them. The Crafty Wabbit exists solely because Wabbit loves the process of creation and takes pride in what she makes. Because Wabbit enjoys trying new things, products listed for sale on The Crafty Wabbit site are unique, often one-of-a-kind, as Wabbit does not typically make more than a handful of items from the same fabrics.

Selling creations via The Crafty Wabbit is a means for funding materials, rather than a way to make a kept profit. All sales perpetuate the creative cycle, and Wabbit donates as much of the extra income as she can afford to charities each year. In determining sales prices, Wabbit takes into account the cost of materials and time and adds a little extra to go toward the annual donations. In 2009, donations went to the American Brain Tumor Association and Walk Now For Autism. In 2010, donations went to CASA, City of Hope, and St. Jude. Your Crafty Wabbit purchases make up these contributions. It is the goal of The Crafty Wabbit to remain a giving-focused business by crafting for charity in this way.
